The Lesbros Project
Lesbros is an advocacy and community group for masculine females, including transmen, butches, and transmasculine people. We run a book club and regular meet-ups, creating space to connect and think through shared experiences.
Many of us have lived across different categories—masculine girls, gender-nonconforming young women, transmen—but similar patterns often recur: how we are read, where we are permitted to belong, and how our bodies are interpreted.
Lesbros draws on feminist analysis to make sense of these patterns, treating female masculinity as a recognisable form of life rather than a deviation. The aim is simple: to create a space where these experiences can be brought together and examined with clarity.
